Product Description
DOWSIL 995 Silicone Structural Sealant supports structural bonding of glass and metal and protective glazing with a one-part, neutral-cure silicone formulation. The ready-to-use material provides a 10-20 minute working time, 65-minute tack-free time and seven- to fourteen-day cure at 25 deg C and 50% relative humidity. After seven days, it reaches Shore A 40 hardness, 350 psi ultimate tensile strength and 525% elongation. Structural-glazing installations require project-specific joint design, substrate testing, quality controls and specific Dow approval; the product data do not replace system-level engineering validation.
